Genre: Dystopian. Science- Fiction. YA

Publishers: Sensational Publications

Her fall has just begun. Only his touch can save her from the shift that could destroy it all.

Within my blood runs a thing our kind calls The Shadowing Disease. It shadows over, and bends everything to its will. When the first blood- shift came, it tore through flesh and blood, threatening to bend me, break bone, shatter my mind and entrap my heart with its honeyed, seductive poison. It came with vicious intent, moving my thoughts and altering me forever. The shift has caused a rift within me. No one was safe when it entrapped me in its claws of foul lust. But I have the only antidote against the evil that becomes me – his touch alone has the power to release the spurs of sweet darkness that clung on for dear life. I knew what I had to do; the desperation pulled my mind with the deep determination of a hungry predator. But by the time the revelation raised me from the dark dungeon of my bounds – it might have been too late.

 Teaser:

A body is fragile; it breaks, it tears, and it bleeds; it is also tangible and real, beautiful and rare.

A soul is an ever-fighting, ever-growing entity. It has a mind of its own.

But, a mind is a curse; it can corrupt, be corrupted, think too much, or not enough.

When body meets soul, it’s perfect. It knows the truth, but it cannot live without a mind.

The mind activates the power from the soul to the body.

The balance is never perfect. This is the curse of being broken.

“I was on a lit path, a raging firestorm for him – all of him. My body ached for it. I had found the antidote to my disease, and in those forced images of false memories, I found my salvation, a cure from myself…”

Proximity Series-Book #1
By: M.A. George
Published on October 3, 2012

Dr. Palta Capal would be a typical American career woman…if only she were human.

She has found her calling in this world as a physician. It’s an ideal outlet for her compassionate spirit...and unearthly healing powers.

Palta may spend her nights rereading Jane Austen novels, but she deliberately avoids pursuing her own love story. Human men — attractive as they may be — inevitably grow old and wither, leaving her to grieve in solitude. Frankly, no one has seemed worth the torment.

Enter Eric Moran, the intensely attractive and enigmatic new coworker on the scene. With his quiet confidence and warm smile, he manages to draw Palta’s attention. Little does she know that he, too, holds a secret…one that will propel them both into an escalating collision of two worlds.

My Review:

Proximity is a great start to this series! Beautifully written and very descriptive and still cryptic, Proximity starts with Palta's story. As the story progresses, you are introduced to her loving sister and father and human crush Eric.  When something huge happens between Eric and Palta, their worlds collide and they discover they have more in common that they think.

The author did an outstanding job with Proximity. She ended it on a very high note that left me extremely curious and eager to start the next install, Relativity.

Proximity Series Book #2

No matter the planet, Palta Capal is an alien.

She’s lived a lifetime where she never belonged…but relocating to the “home world” she’s never seen has her feeling more like an outsider than ever.

Teetering between the thrill of newfound love and the despair of family loss—not to mention the looming threat of global war—Palta doesn’t need any more excitement in her life.

But what she needs and what she gets are two entirely different things.

My Review:

This series just keeps getting better and better!!!

Relativity kept me on the edge of my seat. From the start of being on the ship listening to Palta learn a new language to the hunt for Palta's father and evil Uncle Bito Obo, Relativity will not disappoint. With the introduction of new characters, you can't help but fall deeper into the story and keep on reading well into the wee hours of the morning.

Beautifully detailed and full of excitement and danger with twists and bumps along the way, Vitality is guaranteed to be a show stopper!

Title-Vitality
Series-Proximity Book # 3
By-M.A. George
Expected Publication Date-July 16th, 2013

Palta learned long ago not to expect a “normal” life. She’d settle for one free of close encounters with supernaturally-gifted homicidal maniacs.

Apparently that’s too much to ask.

Join your favorite Onontian royal family, as they settle into life at the palace...only don’t get too comfortable, because things are about to take a hair-raising turn.

Vitality is the gripping third installment in the Proximity series.

My Review:

Vitality is the best book of the series! I kept laughing at the quirky banter between Palta and Nangi'
as they ran all over the galaxy. From having the Royal jitters to constantly passing out, Palta's character has grown into a true Onontian Queen.

I loved how M.A did this install. She added so many elements of surprise to Vitality and the ending......WOW! I did not expect what happens.

I hope there is at least one more book or a novella in the works. There are so many side stories that I would love to hear about. (HINT, HINT)

Blood Ties Series by Jessica Gibson

Ronan has lived for hundreds of years. In all of his years there has only been one for him. What will he risk to get back what is his by right?

This is a short story and is the prequel to Love and Blood, book 1 in the Blood Ties series due out in January 2013

Get it here on Amazon

it's FREE!!!

My Review:

I really liked this new spin on vampires that Jessica has written about. These arent your sparkly,I'm so sweet vampires. These are the vampires that we should be afraid of. But Im not(lol!) Ronan is like a womanizing, drain you dry type of vamp who is sexy and scary all at the same time. He goes on this mission that forces him to fight with his family and his Mother of all people! Blood Lust is a great start Jessica's new series Blood Ties. You get to see how Ronan hunts and you get a feel for his character. I look forward to reading Love and Blood by the talented Jessica Gibson!

Bronwyn Fitzgibbons was young and reckless. It was easy for Ronan to steal her human life and make her a vampire. She ran, but she never forgot him--or how he made her feel.

Rider saved Bronwyn from the new life she loathed and the new self she detested. His love restored her sanity.

Now Ronan is back to claim her. She struggles like hell against him, but she cannot deny the overwhelming power of her maker. Will Bronwyn surrender to the one who could possess her utterly? Or can she find the strength to choose the one who loves her as she is?

It's FREE!!!

My Review:

What can I say but I freaking love this series! You get love, lust, intense scenes, all around action packed in a great read. Having read the Prequel, Blood Lust, it was awesome to get the back story in Love and Blood and you really get to know Ronan. He isn't some pig-headed possessive vampire. Ok...maybe he is but he means well =)Will Bronwyn stay away from him or is he too much for her to handle?

Jessi did such an outstanding job with Love and Blood that I can't wait to find out what happens next! What will Bronwyn do next?

Bronwyn left everything behind when she left with Ronan. She became what he needed her to be and forgot the rest. Too bad the past won't stay in the past.

Rider bursts back into her life uninvited, and is not the man she remembers. There is an edge to him that was not there before. Bronwyn is torn by guilt over what he has become and anger at being blamed for it.

When Ronan ended his maker’s life, he inherited a line of vampires and a whole set of problems to go along with it. Bronwyn must decide if their love is worth it, worth the killing, and the constant disruption of their lives.

Is love enough? Can Bronwyn find herself again and strike a balance between who she wants to be and who Ronan needs her to be? Or will she lose herself all over again?

It's .$99!!!

My Review:

Jessica is such a talented writer. She never ceases to amaze me with her incredible ability to write such an awesome series with loveable characters.

Bronwyn and Ronan are incredible together in this addition to the Blood Ties Series. They seem like the perfect vampire couple and are happy for the most part.

Riley on the other hand is out of control and wants Bronwyn back at all costs. I can not believe the things he does in Blood and Sacrifice. Browyn's friends all come to her to try and convince her to talk to Riley and even go back to him. Of course we all know the chemistry between them. (if you don't, I suggest you read Book 1)

So what is a girl to do? Ronan or Riley? PLUS a jaw dropping moment that made me squeal! ( yes I buried my face in my pillow and squealed).

Overall, this series is so incredible. Being able to read the book in a night is a good thing. I love how human Jessi makes her vampires. Feeling emotions and just being them is what makes this series one of my favorites of all times.

Now for the hard part...waiting for the next install!

Synopsis

DebtCollector_Season1_Combined_MED
Season One of the Debt Collector serial with all nine episodes of the first season. What's your life worth on the open market? A debt collector can tell you precisely. Lirium plays the part of the grim reaper well, with his dark trenchcoat, jackboots, and the black marks on his soul that every debt collector carries. He's just in it for his cut, the ten percent of the life energy he collects before he transfers it on to the high potentials, the people who will make the world a better place with their brains, their work, and their lives. That hit of life energy, a bottle of vodka and a visit from one of Madam Anastazja's sex workers keep him alive, stable and mostly sane... until he collects again. But when his recovery ritual is disrupted by a sex worker who isn't what she seems, he has to choose between doing an illegal hit for a girl whose story has more holes than his soul or facing the bottle alone--a dark pit he's not sure he'll be able to climb out of again. The nine episodes of the Debt Collector serial are collectively 125k words or about 500 pages. This dark and gritty future-noir is about a world where your life-worth is tabulated on the open market and going into debt risks a lot more than your credit rating. Twenty-one year old Grayson Alexander finally breaks away from an abusive relationship and finds herself free for the first time in three years.

Determined to enjoy her new-found freedom, Grayson is intent on sticking with 'no strings attached' relationships—one-night stands, and steamy sex.

But she didn't plan on Derrick.

Her attraction to the sexy man in uniform quickly turns into an unhealthy relationship. They both try to resist the pull, but neither can stay away.

When tragedy strikes, Grayson realizes it's now or never—walk away or make it work.

 My Review:

One song that comes to mind when I think of Now or Never:

Head Games by Foreigner

Yes I am a hair band girl but this song is perfect for this book.

Grayson leaves her fiance after dealing with his Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde persona for three years. Leaving a note and driving East into the night, she finds herself safe with her hippie mom and carefree twin Luna.

Enter Derrick: A red-headed hottie that pulled Grayson in with his green eye tractor beam stare. Grayson can't explain the effect he has on her. He calls it "chemistry"...I call it fate.

When Grayson and Derrick make an agreement of sorts, she quickly realizes that she wants more from him than just great sex and mixed signals...she wants the whole package.

But when her weird witchy intuition kicks into high gear, she fears the worst and decides it's Now or Never...

A.J did an outstanding job with her debut novel. Full of spunk and emotion, she led the reader into the bar scene through the eyes of a girl discovering what it is like to live life for the first time.
Detailed with great characters like Luna, Grayson's free spirited sister and their older, over protective brother Ethan, you can't help but smile while you read.

I wonder if there will be a side novella or even a full length novel for Luna.....just curious if she will find love like Grayson =)

Summer of Frost by L.P Dover

***Warning: this book contains graphic language, sex, and violence. Not intended for young readers.***
The Land of the Fae is strong with all four courts banded as one, but uncertainty still remains as they all work together to end the dark sorcerer’s evil reign. Sorcha—the one and only Winter Court princess—has a secret, a secret that she has enjoyed keeping for the past six months. When a much awaited announcement brings her to the Spring Court, and face to face with the man in her dreams, will she be strong enough to keep up the façade of her icy exterior, or will she melt into his arms like she does in her dreams?

After formally meeting Sorcha at the Winter Ball, Drake—Summer Court prince and army leader—knew there was a fiery passion underneath her winter skin, a passion he wanted desperately to ignite with his own. However, with her frigid responses toward him he’s decided to keep his distance, except how can he when his dreams feel real? Seeing her again only ignites his interest, and this time he’s not going to let his arrogance or her frosty heart stand in his way.

Through unexpected tragedy, Sorcha discovers the one thing the dark sorcerer has spent his whole existence trying to protect, but what makes it more difficult is that only one of the Four is strong enough to retrieve it. The tides have now changed. With Drake’s help, will Sorcha find what she’s searching for? Or will the dark sorcerer beat them to it, shattering all hope of finding out the one thing that could save the Land of the Fae … how to destroy him?

Excerpt:

My heart began its erratic beating again, and when I slowly turned around to face Alston, I was astounded to see that it wasn’t him standing there, but someone else. The man before me was not only lethal and sexy, but he happened to be the Summer Court prince, Drake. His bright, red hair reminded me of the sun on a hot summer day, or better yet, the fire of the dragon inside of him, but I didn’t let his charm sway me. His smoky, gray eyes bore into mine, and when he noticed I didn’t melt under his gaze, he tilted his lip up in an arrogant smirk, clearly amused. Cocky bastard.

“Good evening, Princess Sorcha. I don’t think we’ve actually been formally introduced,” he expressed regally, bowing slightly. “I’m Drake.”

“I know who you are,” I replied blandly. “I’ve heard a lot about you.”

He beamed. “Good things, I hope.”

“Not really,” I teased dryly.

Indeed, I’d heard many things about him. He was an arrogant ass that liked to show off his skills anytime he could, not to mention he probably had a million Summer fae women lined up to enjoy him in his bed. I didn’t know that for certain, but I could only imagine. His life was very secret when it came to women, so needless to say, it drew many speculations. He was ridiculously good-looking, and the longer he was in front of me the more I felt a pull to fall into his arms. What the hell was wrong with me?

Laughing, he tilted his head and held out his hand. “How about we dance, and you can tell me all about what you heard. I guarantee most of it isn’t true.”

I glared at his hand, and then back up to his face, contemplating on if I should accept. Before I could take his hand, Alston pushed his way between us, anger emanating off of him in strong waves. “How about you find someone else? Sorcha is with me. I’m sure you’ll find another Winter fae that would be happy to cool your bed.”

For a second, I stood there frozen and speechless. In a way, I wanted to see what Drake would do, but I also didn’t want to see them fight. It would cause unwanted problems that we didn’t need. Slow and with determination, Drake took a step closer to Alston, standing almost nose to nose with him. “So … she’s with you, huh?”

“That’s right,” Alston growled.

A wolfish grin spread across Drake’s face. He raked his heated gaze down my body quickly, before laying his deadly gray eyes back on Alston. “Keep telling yourself that,” he retorted back.

Alston clenched his fists, ready to strike, when Drake gracefully backed up and bowed his head slightly at me, never swaying his eyes from mine. “Maybe next time, Princess Sorcha,” he murmured to me, his voice low and seductive.

Out of all my years of always having something witty or smart ass comeback to throw out, that moment was one of the times I couldn’t form words. Alston snaked his arm around my waist, pulling me close, and for that second in time I didn’t care. Nothing existed except me and Drake as he backed up slowly, both of our gazes never wavering from each other’s. He winked at me before leaving the ballroom, and once he was out of sight, everything immediately returned to normal. My heart beat normally while everyone came back into focus, and that meant Alston and Sarette’s angry glares.

I knew then that everything was going to change after that night. Drake had captured my attention, and I was determined to find out more.

My Review:

Summer of Frost to me, can be read as a stand alone. Although I love this series and wouldn't want to miss anything, I think it can be done. =)

L.P did an amazing job with Summer of Frost. She included enough backstory from the previous books to refresh the readers' mind and launches us into the Land of the Fae once again.

Summer of Frost is a beautiful addition to this series with the great characters, amazing details, story twists, excitement, betrayal and fighting scenes, it was hard to put this one down.

Life or Death?

Frankie

Sugar. I needed more of it if I was going to make it through this day. The chocolate croissant and caramel latte I had this morning wasn’t near enough to combat the massive lines, the noise, and disgruntled people that filled the DMV. Whatever in hell made me think that working at the Department of Motor Vehicles, here in Alaska, was a good idea?

Maybe it was the good pay. Maybe it was because I got weekends off.

Or maybe it was because I had a moment of temporary insanity that unfortunately coincided with me saying, “I accept,” when I got offered this job.

Besides the fact that the lines were permanently out the door, the computer systems were temperamental at best, and my boss was a complete broom rider, my stash of chocolate and Sour Patch Kids was empty.

That meant someone was going to die today.

I glanced back up at the ninety-year-old woman whose head barely cleared the insanely high counters we stood behind and tried to hold on to my patience. “Mrs. Eldridge,” I said extremely loudly. “Like I told you last week, you have to go and get new glasses before I can renew your driver’s license.”

“I have new glasses,” she insisted.

            Lord, save me now.

“You got those ten years ago. You need some from this year.” Or decade I finished silently.

She shuffled out of the line like a turtle and I took her slowness as a chance to really search beneath my station and chair for a long-lost piece of sugar. Anything. Even a stray jellybean would likely find its way into my blood stream at this point. Of course there was nothing. I briefly considered hiding beneath my desk until five o’clock. My car. I had an emergency stash in my car. I glanced at my watch. I had another hour until I was able to take a fifteen-minute break.

A pair of black pumps appeared before me and I inwardly groaned. Just what I needed—a run-in with the witch. But instead of being greeted by her condescending, screechy tone, an icy-cold red can appeared before me.

Hallelujah, praise the Lord, it was caffeine and sugar!

I snatched the Coke out of her hand and popped the top, taking a large, satisfying chug. The bubbles crowded down my throat, slightly burning, and I took another swallow.

“I love you,” I murmured to Lela, the girl who worked right beside me.

She laughed. “I know that look when I see it.” Then she straightened and whispered. “Witch alert.”

I shot up, my head bumping into the counter on the way. I wanted to shout out in pain, but I clamped my mouth shut, not wanting to draw the attention of my boss, Satan’s assistant.

I turned back to my line, my eyes colliding with a broad chest. I looked up, and the can slid out of my hand, hitting the floor with a thud while fizzy liquid poured over my favorite boots.

            I didn’t even notice.

“What the hell are you doing here?” I growled as I looked around for something sharp I could stab him with.

A thick brow arched. “So is this where you spend your days? As if the DMV isn’t a horrible enough place to visit without the poor people of Alaska having to tolerate you.”

There wasn’t enough sugar on this planet that would save him. I reached out and picked up the black phone. If I couldn’t bludgeon him to death here at my place of employment, then I could at least call the cops. I began dialing, but he reached over and cut the connection.

I slammed the phone down on his hand, which was still pressed on the hang-up button. Breath hissed between his teeth and his green eyes shot to mine. “Careful, George, you’re pissing off the wrong man.”

            “My name isn’t George.”

He shrugged, pulling his hand away from the phone. “When you have a man’s name, does it really matter?”

My Review:

Ok...first off....I love this series! I fell in love with the simple yet heartbreaking/warming story of Dex in Recalled. And now I have Charming......

All throughout Charmed, I expected to cry a little; I did with Recalled so why not with Charmed?  I didn't shed one tear.....until the very end.....literally!

Cambria has brought the series to life with the story of Charming. From his beginnings as a boxer to becoming an Escort, she has thrown so many elements this time around. His backstory is so heart-breaking and then the moments with Frankie...*sigh* lovely; just beautiful.

Full of so many emotions, Charmed will take you on an incredible adventure leaving you pumped up and ready to ride again. I can not wait to see what Cambria has in store for the next install of the Death Escorts Series!
