So please sit back and enjoy Damaged!
Damaged by Becca Vincenza
There are some beings in this world, long thought to be extinct. Some seek to protect them, others want control, but some . . . some are hell bent on their destruction.
Audrey was taken from her father, hidden away from the world, and tortured for five years. She was rescued, but is she really safe, or is there someone else waiting to betray her? Can she trust those who saved her? Can she learn to accept who she really is?
Stone was on a routine mission to extract valuable information from a rival clan of paranormals. Instead, he and his team find something much more valuable: a scarred, damaged young woman who holds many secrets, and whose power is beyond anything they could ever have imagined. There is much more to Audrey than meets the eye and Stone is determined to protect her.
Audrey and Stone are about to find out it’s hard to know who to trust.

An exclusive excerpt just for you!
It reached well below my knees but I
still felt exposed but it was the only thing I had been given that fit
properly. I looked up at Stone’s intake of a sharp breath. My eyes wide with
fear and I frantically looked to see what had caused his shock. There was
nothing else in the room but us, then when I looked at him his eyes were
roaming my form. The look made me feel uncomfortable but not in the way that I
expected. This was a different kind of uncomfortable, while other stares like
the one he was giving made me shrink in fear, his made me squirm with
embarrassment. That is how I felt as if I had something to hide.
“If it’s unpleasing I can change.” I
started to turn away but Stone grabbed me before I could get too far.
“No. Gods no. You look…amazing.” His
voice was almost breathless. He was standing so close, too close. And somehow
farther than I wanted him to be. I didn’t dare look past his chest which my
eyes were level at. His hands, Gods they were softest things I have ever felt
on my skin. I closed my eyes against the assault. I felt him lifting my chin,
but my entire body followed, I didn’t want to let his touch go. For once the
touch of another made me feel safe. I didn’t know why. “You should stand tall,
stop hiding.” His breathe feathering over the sensitive skin of my lids. I
couldn’t have kept my eyes open even if I tried. “Audrey.” His voice was so,
so, so close. I felt his hands move through my thick hair, the strands wrapping
around his fingers, knotting and refusing to let him go.

It's like.....

Midnight Rider's Book Blitz!
“Gather ‘round people and you shall hear
about a bunch of bullshit that is clear.
Of riders and horses and monsters too;
your parents lied - they can still get you.
Hardly anyone who was there is alive
to dispel the rumor, uncover the lies,
but there was more than one man who rode that day
and more than just Redcoats who got in their way.”
Along the way, Longfellow lost something in his translation it seems.
Everyone has heard of the French and Indian War and the American Revolution. However, they have not heard about them this way! The American founding fathers had a lot more to deal with at the end of the 18th century than tariffs and tea; avoiding hurled trees from Wendigos and gargoyles falling from the sky took a lot of patience. How is Samuel Prescott supposed to hunt the leader of the Rippers when the British keep infringing upon the colonists’ rights?

Boone was
sure he heard Revere scream as the zombie Forbes charged at them. On his way,
Forbes took a nice hearty bite out of an off duty soldier who happened to be
nearby. “Grullarrk,” the soldier said clearly before falling to the ground.
Forbes
Zombie was fast. A hell of a lot faster than Forbes was in real life. How the heck did that work out, Boone
wondered. Oh well. He unslung his double-barreled reverse musket, an invention
of Revere; the guy was good for something,
thought Boone as he fired and turned his former commanding officer’s head into
a floating cloud of red mist. He then flipped the release on his musket, spun
the barrels so that the fired barrel faced back and the loaded faced forward,
and he vaporized the downed soldier’s head as well just to be sure. He wasn't about to let any zombies rise on his watch.
“Everybody
to the wall,” Fraser ordered. It seemed that Boone’s gunfire and the shrieking
had alerted the remaining werewolves, who were apparently done feasting on the
French and wanted to upgrade to a little English breakfast.
“Zombies
and werewolves,” whined Revere. “I sure hope no vampires show up.”
“Vampires?”
Boone countered. “What are you, a child? Vampires aren't real.”
“They’re
not?” asked Revere.
“No -
vampires are just a myth. But dragons, dragons will fuck your shit up,” said
George Washington.

Excerpt
Eric slowed the Mustang to a crawl and searched the street for his informant, Jimmy Flame. This part of Brooklyn had it all―garbage, graffiti and gangs―a snake pit where debts were paid in blood. As it turned out, he spotted the lanky twenty-something-drug-dealer strolling up the sidewalk.
Eric didn’t trust the scar-faced kid dressed in clothes three sizes too big, but Jimmy knew the streets and somehow stayed clear of the gangs. A real miracle. He also knew Jimmy would be discreet, if he knew what was good for him.
Eric pulled the car over and stopped. Jimmy looked him square in the eye, turned, and kept walking.
Eric got out of the car and snatched the back of Jimmy’s shirt. “We need to talk.” He whirled him around.
“Hey, you promised you’d only come around at night.” Jimmy scanned up and down the street clearly worried someone might see him with a cop.
“It’s important. Get in.”
Jimmy hopped in the car and scrunched down low in the passenger seat.
Eric started the car and glanced at Jimmy’s low riding jeans. “How the hell can you wear those baggy-ass pants? They should be outlawed.”
“What man? You don’t like my gear? These pants are sick.” Jimmy ran his hand over his knee. “What’s so important?”
“Heard anything about prosecutor Stephen Taylor or the new district attorney?” Jimmy kept one hand clutched on the door handle.
Convinced the kid might bolt if he had the chance, Eric sped up.
“I ain’t heard nothing on the DA, but―”
“If you know something, spit it out. I’m not in the mood for games.” Eric glanced at him,
Jimmy’s shaved head glistened with sweat in the early morning sun.
“Man you’re gonna get me killed.” Jimmy sank back into the seat, his fingers tightened around the handle of the door. “Some dude was looking for someone to put the scare into Taylor and the DA. I never saw him, but one of my boys told the guy to hit the road. The deal didn’t smell right. Something was way off.”
“How did Paul Cassico end up dead?”
Jimmy lit a cigarette and took an extra-long drag. “Cassico is a small-time bookie, you know, neighborhood shit, horse races and fights. Valdina learned the guy would be cooperating with the feds so Valdina had one of his crew take him out.”
“Did Cassico ever mention who killed my father?”
“The stupid shit went around flappin’ his gums. Said he knew who shot the cop in the warehouse drug deal. He also said he’d make a large stash when he went to the cops.”
Eric’s heart pounded. “Did he give a name, Jimmy?”
“Nope.”
“I need to find the shooter.”
“I don’t wanna get involved with Valdina’s boys. You’re talking Mafia. Man, I’m too young to die.”
Eric could tell by the quiver in the kid’s voice, he was scared. Something he’d never seen before. “Has someone threatened you?”
“Not yet. They will as soon as I start asking questions.”
“You’re smart. You’ll find a way to get the info.” Besides, you piss me off, I’ll drag your drug-pedalling ass off to jail. You understand?”
Jimmy remained silent for a moment. “Man, you’re a hard-ass.”
“Find out what you can.” Eric steered the car into an empty parking lot and tossed fifty bucks at him. “I’ll be back in a couple of days and watch your back.”
As Eric pulled away, he heard Jimmy call him an asshole. Okay, he deserved that. And yeah, he was tough on the kid when he needed to be. It was all part of the job. He liked Jimmy, but he’d never admit it. From what he just witnessed, Jimmy was scared shitless and that worried Eric even more.

About the Author-
Niecey Roy knew she wanted to be a writer from a very young age, but her moment of enlightenment came after watching the movie You’ve Got Mail. It was then she realized her place in life, and happily parked her butt on writing romance. Her dream was to create sexy vixens, hunky, half-naked heroes, and above all, romance; lots and lots of butterflies in the belly, breathless first kisses and happily-ever-afters.
When she’s not at her day job where she works as a legal assistant, she can be found at home at a cluttered desk, pounding her tired little fingers away on a keyboard with nothing but black pepper flavored sunflower seeds and Visine as her weapons for mass-romance-novel-creation. When her fingers need a break, you’ll find her at a table with friends, drinking a few martinis and showing off a new pair of (sometimes ridiculous) high heels. She’s usually the loudest at the table and most often the one snorting with laughter.
Niecey is the author of Fender Bender Blues, a contemporary romantic comedy published by The Wild Rose Press. Her new novel to be released November 2013, Another Shot At Love, is the first novel in the What’s Love??? series.
