Double Review! Accidentally on Purpose / Worthy of Redemption by L.D Davis!

Accidentally on Purpose

Emmy thinks her boss Kyle Sterling of Sterling Corporations is a dick.

So, she sleeps with him.

Emmy tries to put the mistake behind her, but then finds herself snowed in with Kyle. As the snow builds, so does the heat in the house between the two. The problem is that Kyle has a steady girlfriend that he is unwilling to break up with. Emmy cuts Kyle off and starts dating Luke. Even as their relationship takes off, Emmy is finding Kyle hard to shake. He is blatant in his feelings and desires for Emmy, putting her in an awkward situation. She tries hard to resist Kyle, but deep down inside Emmy's motives are shady. When Emmy succumbs to her hidden feelings for Kyle without setting Luke free, devastating consequences ensue.

In addition to her two men, Emmy daydreams about doing violent things to her loud mouthed, opinionated mother.

With drama, romance, some humor, and plenty of alcohol, follow Emmy as she deals with the consequences of "accidentally on purpose" falling for two men at once.

My Review:

Accidentally on Purpose is very entertaining, sadistic, sexy and dark. What starts off as a crush on the boss quickly turns into something extremely intense and needy. Kyle and Emmy's relationship is becoming noticeable and is in danger. Enter Luke; the tall drink of uncomplicated man who stirs desire in our girl Emmy. She quickly becomes torn between these two men but has to choose. Does she make the right decision?

L.D is an amazing writer. This was the first book I've had the pleasure of reading by her and I can honestly say that this will not be the last. Her ability to weave a dark, stalkerish story into something sensual and desirable is no small feat to accomplish. She adds love into this story; a sweet love that isn't tainted by abuse. That love is in the form of Luke.

Worthy of Redemption:

In this sequel to the New York Times Best Seller Accidentally On Purpose, Kyle Sterling must live with his devastating actions that caused him to lose the love of his life. Conditioned by a life of tribulation starting from when he was a small child, Kyle loses all hope that he can ever deserve happiness again.
Lily's heart was broken first by a tragic loss and then by the two people she cared about most in the world. After tragedy strikes again, Lily's entire world is shaken and begins to crumble piece by piece. Lily hides her heartache and secrets behind a wall of colorful hair, piercings, tattoos and a style and attitude that is all her own.

When Lily is forced to take a position at Sterling Corporation working closely with Kyle, the pair quickly clash. Kyle's dick-like behavior is at an ultimate high, but Lily challenges him at every turn. Despite his personal objections regarding Lily, her background, and her appearance, Kyle is unable to deny the building chemistry between him and the little irritating "barmaid."

Despite his dick-like disposition and violent past, Lily fights to prove to Kyle that he is worthy – of being loved, and worthy of redemption, but Kyle is afraid of repeating history and he can’t let go of his past…

...And maybe a very important someone from his past isn't ready to let go yet either...

My Review:

Worthy of Redemption is just as good as Accidentally on Purpose if not better. Kyle is trying to make up for his past with Emmy and won't see past the pain in order for him to heal. Enter Lily; the spunky barmaid who ends up caring for Kyle one night after tossing back a few too many. Lily knows all about his past with Emmy and has witnessed what a volatile mess that was. After experiencing her own tragic heartbreak, her attempts at helping Kyle heal turn into a steamy relationship. Will these two ever find love again?

L.D has really created a dark and twisted read with this series. Abuse and heartache go hand in hand with the characters in this series but it works. It makes the storyline THAT much better.

With a third installment on the horizon, I can not wait to find out who will be the stars and what kind of relationship they will endure.
